Vegetative Alchemy: The Artist as Living Vessel
Vegetative Alchemy: The Artist as Living Vessel is an illustrated talk developed from my ongoing research into alchemy, Jungian thought, vegetal symbolism and embodied transformation.
First presented at Kunstnernes Hus, Oslo, the talk draws on alchemical manuscripts, Egyptian funerary imagery, Hildegard of Bingen’s viriditas and examples from my own practice. It introduces vegetal alchemy as a way of thinking through growth, decay, incubation and regeneration as symbolic models for psychic and material change.
